Clicking axle fixed!
So just to be clear and potentially close this thread out because the step by step on my350z exists already and with all the comments clarifying any of the misc little stuff that wasn't explicitly photographed or presented in video form in that step by step - really, it's pretty well covered.
But.
Everyone is doing this and not once anywhere (including in the TSB) has anyone said what the adverse effect on the parts involved is supposed to be.
So - what EXACTLY happens to the Axle splines, Cap Bolt, Connecting Bolts, Cotter Pins or anything else related if absolutely NOTHING is ever done to fix the little "tink" noise.

That being said, it's relatively easy and cheap to do so I'm not sure why you wouldn't fix it.

Alls I did was grease and clean the drive shaft bolts because they were covered in brake dust and the problem has been gone for a week and I've had the issue from the second my car starts driving to when I park. My axel was clean (I have 90k miles) and tighented to spec but at the same time I did replace all 4 brakes and Rotors so whatever, clickings gone and I'm happy
By the way God bless anyone taking that drive shaft bolt off

My click
This is what my click is, I am pretty sure it is the rear axle or I hope so, I recently got into a wreck and my car is at the body shop, while its in their I told them to go ahead and grease my rear axles, Ill let you guys know that if it fixed the noise if some of you have the same noise. VID:
look at the diagrams and understand how it works..there wouldnt be a grinding noise imo because that part is fixed and not spinning. it all spins as a unit..it just has a little play and without grease there it is making metal to metal contact..with the grease in place it is dampening that little bit of play that is there
My 2006 G35 just started maiking the axel click. I wanna fixed myself but I need to have some picture just in case I have some issue. Does anyone have pictures how to do it or link to webside, forum link
Thank thank you!!!
