DIY: Clutch Pedal Remedy
Thanks!
I knew it wasn't just me when I first felt this clutch!! Thanks for the DIY! I was able to do my own variation of this mod and it worked great! It definitely helped some so thank you for creating this thread!
Bringing up an old thread but I did this mod as well as removing the spring (highly recommend removing spring) and it's like a whole new G. I've got an 07 G35 coupe 6mt and both mods have been working great for me.
It will help when going up hill, because as soon as u start coming up off the clutch pedal then clutch will start grabbing earlier than normal. The clutch will grab and pull the car sooner than later when letting off the clutch pedal. Just do it worth it for everyone... You will love it.
I use to be able to adjust my clutch the same with my older G20, it was a non hydraulic cable clutch setup.

Yup, it worth it. Make sure the double sided tape u buy is industrial strength.
I been looking for this info. Where can I find it? Thanks.

Dang. I have an '05 coupe.
Remove pin that connects pedal to clutch cylinder. Remove three brass nuts holding pedal assembly in place. Unplug wires (cruise control/start sensor). Remove assembly. Decompress spring by ensuring pedal is in down position. Remove spring. Re-install assembly without spring and enjoy. This is how I did it on my 07. Let me know if you do it and how you like your "new" G driving experience. Best mod on the 6mt for sure.
I just did this to my clutch and it feels A LOT nicer! but one thing....what if the taped plastics fall off while your driving? like lets say in the summer/heat when they don't stick well
Would you mind pm'ing me how many and what kind of coins you used?
Bringing old thread back, but I just did this DIY and it feels great! I used the home depot gliders but only used 2 layers of tape on the black/white one. I highly recommend it!
EDIT: would not recommend doing it permanently, because when bleeding/flushing clutch fluid you will need to press the clutch all the way in
