here's an interesting observation, and i know no 2 cars are the same, but assuming that they are similar within a margin of error, it seems like the intake mod makes the stock car have improved torque performance, and then when the mrev is added, it makes it have improved HP performance.

Is your '04 a stock 6mt? If so, 260hp/260tq to the wheels would be a little high then what should be expected. I'd think a stock rev-up manual should dyno around 250 whp. Unless they have some heavy wheels on it.

Fini, your baseline dyno came out to a max hp of 236 right? Don't you feel that's kinda low?

Nevermind,

This is from: http://performancesimulations.com/

"Automatics typically range in the 70-80% mechanical efficiency area, while manuals usually are in the 75-88% range. One common estimation that works well in many cases is to assume 75% for automatic and 82% for manual transmissions. This is not going to be right for every engine/transmission/differential combination, but can serve as a good starting point until you can supply more accurate data. "

It looks like 20% loss is not unreasonable at all.

Great info Fini!

Thanks!

I am curious to see a Dyno of a 1/2 Spacer with MREV2 on a 2003-04 model.

I have the MREV2 installed now, and have the 5/16 spacer on the way.. I am going to do a few dyno runs, then install the UTEC with wideband tuner, then get another dyno...

Will try to keep you posted..

I see you are doing the UTECH with NOS setup, smart move I heard the OEM ECU has up to 4 degrees of compensation but I don't know if I would trust the stock ECU.

Yea I wouldn't either.. Especially since I am going MREV2 with 5/16 spacer, I am pretty lean.. I wanna make sure I have a good tune..

With the remote switch, If a car pulls next to me and wants a little action, I can drop below 1600 rpm, switch to a preset N20 map, and get my groove on..
