MREV2 with 5/16 spacer installed with Dyno
Alright all,
A quick question to throw at you. For reference Im driving an 06' 6MT(REV-UP) Im looking at MREV2 with a 5/16"
I live in NY so I would need a copper ISO spacer. However I'm definetly not wild about cutting the coolant hose and running this into the copper TB spacer, the dealership is gonna bust my ***** on that one. Is there a way to just put the copper spacer in there, in such a way without the damn ugly tube that hangs out, and definetly without installing the coolant control valve? Will I still be good to go? Im guessing I am kinda defeating the whole purpose of actually buying the copper ISO thermal spacer and maybe should just buy the non iso thermal spacer.
Second question is am I sacrificing my high end HP at the expense of higher mid range tq. If so, Im sure I can find a better use for my cashflow.
Thirdly when tuning this monster, can u go back to the stock ECU tune so as it is undetectable by the dealership. We do have a blackbox in these things too.
Thoughts?

And with the Copper, the installation is 100% reversible.
As for performance, even under the worst case condition, the MREV2 with spacer increases the average power band to each gear under any condition racing or crusing.
EDIT: if you get a tune, you typically will need an engine management system like the Greddy EU. If you use a autosport harness with it, its completely disconectable and your car will be, look and perform right back to its stock condition.

If coolant is always running flowing through this connection, is it acting as a heatsink for the copper and actually pulling heat away from the TB. Isnt that coolants job?
What exactly is the function of a CCV valve that is included with this kit.
If the Mrev plenum is installed by itself, am I then just going to see the change in more lower band torque at the expense of the higher HP?
That is basically the difference as I understand it between the MREV and rev-up motors. 298/260 for rev-up, or 285/270 for the MREV. Please correct me if I have my information confused.

So when you order the copper iso space, the coolant fluid always runs through the TB spacer?
Yes.
If coolant is always running flowing through this connection, is it acting as a heatsink for the copper and actually pulling heat away from the TB. Isnt that coolants job?
No. It is hot coolant that is flowing directly out of the engine at ~205'F.

A CCV is not included in the Copper kit. It is either/or. CCV or Copper.
If the Mrev plenum is installed by itself, am I then just going to see the change in more lower band torque at the expense of the higher HP?
Yes. If you install it by itself without a spacer. The MREV2 makes the TQ and the spacer makes the HP. When you use a MREV2 on a REVUP engine, it is highly advised to use a spacer with it to obtain optimal results.

There is no comparable difference between the MREV and REVUP motors. MREV is not a motor, it is a part that goes on the motor.
Yes.

If on an 06 MT (revup) i choose to run the MREV2, 5/16 spacer, borla tru dual exhuast(leave stock cats on there) with a ztube n stillen airbox, am I risking running lean.
It seems to get a decent tune im gonna need a UTECH or watever. I dont feel like droppin 800 for a tune. I come from mustang world, where hand held tuners abound. I dont see any like that available for the G market.
So bottom line, will I need a tune to stay good with my A/F. And B. is there any easy cheaper way (possibly so I can go back and forth from stock tune to performance tune) I want to not void my warranty or cause hassle with the stealership.

B) Yes. Use a greddy emanage ultimate with an autosport harness. Its really easy to plug in for regular use and just as easily unplugs when you need to go to the dealership.
