Re: a/c compressor pulley removal

According to my ESM, after the surpentine is removed, the centre bolt comes out first, then a puller is used to remove the clutch assembly.
Unless you've got the right tools it looks like a job for the shop, who will likely remove the compressor first due to lack of space.

Re: a/c compressor pulley removal

Hey GSM,
I appreciate that information ,but after reading again what i wrote, i don't believe the way i put it is very clear. The problem is the belt pulley is pressed on to the shaft that slides inside the compressor .What i'm trying to find out is how to remove the shaft from the compressor. There isn't a center bolt to remove .Could you look again and see if there's a way to pull this shaft ,or you might have to go into the compressior itself to take it out.The new shaft looks as though it has a lock ring on the end of it ,and all you would have to do if you could remove the old one is just push it in ,and it would lock .Anyway i appreciate you taking a look.
Thanks
