motordyne 5/16 spacer

Hi guy. Just bought a 5/16 spacer from a member here. Can I install the spacer without any of the hardware (gasket, bolts, washer)?

Nope you need all the longer bolts, plastic spacers and gasket. They all should have came with the spacer.

No. I just did the same thing. Bought a 1/2" spacer with no hardware. You DEFINALTEY cannot install it with out the kit. The kit by itself was $35 shipped from Motordyne. You'll need plastic plenum spacers and a whole list of different sized bolts along with washers that only come in the kit. Email them with your request and they will get it out to you in a few days. Once I put mine on; it was well worth it.

Someone for 350z said the gasket is on there already. Is it true because I didn't see one.

I think his is used, so the old gasket would be worthless anyway.

Why would the old gasket be useless?

Hey everyone the gasket is adhered to the spacer. On Motordyne website it shows that it is separated. But everything looks good, they just forgot to include the bolts and white spacers. Thanks for the help.

call Tony @ Motordyne

http://motordyneengineering.com/contactus.asp

He can help you out, you can get some liquid gasket maker if you dont have a stock gasket or a gasket on the spacer, if its used I recommend you spread a thin smooth bead on the old gasket to make a proper seal.

Tony can help you with the proper bolts and spacers, YOU NEED THE SPACERS if not you may crack the upper plenum.

I have had two motordyne ones and the gasket was not adhered to it. That may be a more recent change.

You can re-use it.

Yeah. mine came already adheared and it looked like there was no way you could remove it even if you wanted to. Just make sure to torque the plenum bolts properly. I thought I was good until I turned the key and heard a terrible shriek when I gave it some gas. It was a small leak, I found a couple of bolts that needed to be tighter and it was all good.
