Re: Service Engine Soon
I had the same problem with my coupe. I picked it up in the morning. Later in the evening, the light came on. I turned the car off and on a few times, it still didn't go away. It was too late, so I couldn't take it to the dealer. The next day, just as I was getting ready to go to the dealer, the light didn't come on. I didn't bother taking it to the dealer, and I never saw the light again. It's kind of interesting. I'd say take it to the dealer, and have them figure it out. Good luck bro.

Its probably the gas cap on your car...either it wasn't properly closed or maybe its defective...If you open the tank and close it properly you should see the light go out after one or two days...did that on my last infiniti...and that corrected the problem...if not just take it in for the dealer to look at..2old4this

Re: Service Engine Soon
Try an ECU reset found in THIS THREAD, or by disconnecting the battery for 12 hrs.

Re: Service Engine Soon
took it to the dealer today. my rpm was kinda readjusting too for some reason.
well, they called me back and they said something about a sensor being readjusted and supposedly the problem was fixed.
i'm picking it up tomorrow so i'll see how it is.

Re: Service Engine Soon
the "service engine soon" light just came on for me (steady, no blinking) yesterday. I checked the gas cap and it is ok. One thing I noticed (and I never looked before); I did not see a little silver flip door in the gas opening (my other cars have had one). It is normally a small little door that swings open on a spring when you put a gas nozzle in. Crazy question: does the G not have one? Or is it possible that mine broke off somehow (and god forbid) it fell into the gas tank?
I do have an Injen CAI, but it has been on for more than two months and I have never had this light come on. Any advice is appreciated.
