for those of you with NOS

Hey guys,

Im not interested in getting NOS but I have a few questions I hope you guys could answer--theyre quite general.

to make a long story short, me and my friend with an evo9 are out for the night and some guy comes up in some pos nissan sentra and says he'll smoke us both with his car. everyone there of course laughs as him..

I ask what size NOS he has--he has no clue, the kids an idiot, doesnt know anything about it, says he just bought it--fine.

after everyone starts laughing even more at him he says he has a 100 shot of NOS..ok..now wer getting somewhere.

point of the matter is...im wondering what supporting mods you would need to be running a 100 shot of NOS?

thanks for all the help guys!!

1. Don't buy "NOS"
2. A sentra with a 100 shot can probably only use it once
3. Supporting mods with the information you've given me... An extra VQ35DE

Now I'm sure someone who Sprays with Nitrious, or N2 Will chime in and say

yatta yatta 50-75 wet shot, bottle warmer gauges and enginge management.

Yes that would work! Brilliantly I might add, But here is the crux of the problem. You are going to spend a lot more money than you think you are going to. Its not buying a bottle and running a pressure hose to your manifold.

In any case, if you do find a good deal on a Nitrous kit (NX, NOS, etc.) and you bolt her on, do your self a few favors.

1. Learn about your car, What compression ratios are, read up who has blown their engine at what RPM and what set up,
2. Be prepaired to get owned, Spraying a stock set up is dangerous unless you have a UTEC, UNICHIP, Emanage, FCON (lol). Then you should be okay.
3. Poor man's turbo-- you get what you pay for.

Had someone around here put on a 25 shot on his greddy set up with a built(rods, heads etc)

Blew rods like you would only have nightmares about.

To run a nitrous kit on our car te only thing you need is your nitrous kit and some kind of management system (u-tech) and you will be fine. There are plenty of guys who are running 100+ shots on stock blocks and are completely fine.

colder plugs are usually helpful as well, and cheap

^A new motor probally....lol. I have 100 shot and I am running perfectly fine with all the above parts (ecu, tune, plugs, blow down tube, warmer and all the other good stuff). He probally would've sprayed before he left the line but as far as smoking the Evo "yeah okay"!

100 shot on a 4cyl has been done, and is possible with a few mods. As long as he only sprays in 2nd+ gear it'll last a while, but it could blow up at any time
