damn nismo G, your exhaust does sound very nice.
and secondly. my car weighs 4100 lbs. thats gotta be at least 800 lbs more than a coupe, probly more. v8 vs v6 means nothing in racing. its power to weight ratios.

comparing my virtually stock car(new intake./exhaust/handheld tuned) to a car with a blower and tunes on it is completely different.

every one has got their own taste. in body style, i dono where that arguement came from. i like muscle you like your compact sports car. i actually like the G a lot tho. looks sharp.

my pops and i raced when we were both stock. guess who won? we weight about the same, and hes got the Sport.. whatever that adds.

secondly if you wanna compare your turbo to my N/A car thats at least a 5k$ difference... minimum. with that money i could drop in a 426 and break 12 seconds easy with my eyes closed. my car is barely modified and i will put any one with less than 2k bucks in mods down

sorry for the hostility but i was being friendly(i thought) and u guys jumped on my ***. so. i appologize. but thank you nismo for helpin out

so is there no good type of tuner(when i say tuner, im thinking of a handheld thing like "superchips".... so sorry if were speaking different languages here) for the new 07 engines?
and are the gains from a new intake negligable? what about better throttle response?

There are no handheld tuners (Flashpaq, Predator, etc) for our cars. The only thing available that comes close is Osiris. It is a proprietary OBD2-to-USB cable and software package that allows you to reflash your ECU with "etunes" made by Uprev (requires you to datalog certain parameters and email the info to Uprev). However, it is not available for 2007s (yet).

BTW, according to DRAG TIMES, 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8s are running mid-low 13s, and only a two of them are tagged as "stock". R/Ts are running mid-13s to low 14s, with only two being tagged as stock.

Bring it.

yeah, no hand held tuners for our cars. Might want to check out a u-tech, but im not sure if it is compatible with the new 07 sedans...probably not, but you never know.

I know racing is alot of power to weight ratio, but without power and torque you have nothing so a v-8 vs a v-6 is going to make a big difference. Didn't know that the charger weighed in at that much i think the coupe is 3450 so yeah you probably have about 700-800 pounds more to carry around. Like i said before it would be a drivers race.

Good luck

when i said breaking 12 seconds i said itd take a 426 which is a "built"(i think thats what you guys call it) hemi. along with a handheld tuner/exhaust headers back/cai. the hand helds for our car can do a whole lot of really cool things like get rid of that godamn torque managment function that makes it feel like your car is dead from a dig. i know my pops car does it. feels like you have no power off the line then at like 25 mph you get the huge pull around 3.5k rpms(thats where it is in my car) amongs a lot of little otehr things that make a lot of difference

i truly hate what has become of cars these days. the computer makes it so the car adapts to what it "thinks" you want. which never is. rather than being one set way, and you learn it, and drive it to its limits.

sadly the charger is still new enough taht almost all applications of turbos and SC's has failed, blowing pistons and rods like nobodies business. however a 100 shot of nos will bump you an est 100 hp.

did i mention the handfull of chargers breaking 12s(by that i mean 11.xx) are N/A save maybe 1 or 2 that are super customized for a blower. all srt's of (the 6.1L v8 - stock 425 hp)course

and the r/t's (like mine, the 5.7L- stock 340 hp) are breaking 14s with just exhaust and cai and a tuner easily. getting into the mid 13's on good days(like not in houston tx with 100 degree heat and 70% humid... more up north)

shrug, more info than most of u probably give a **** about. but some may like a good read

but thanks for the input! ill have to keep an eye out for him, as pretty much every intake is for the 06 and back too.

thx again

-Miles

Why would anyone go to a forum of V6 motors and brag about an 8-cylinder car?... There are boatloads of cars in the same class that would smoke the Charger... what does it have to do with a G?... Find a car comparable to the G’s motor and brag about what is does… there aren’t many out there that can keep up.

Take your self-worshiping Charger stories to a Mustang forum… oh wait, you probably did and got spanked so you go to a 6 cylinder forum to see if anyone gives a crap

so is every one on this board besides nismo really that ignorant? and do your REALLY believe that the difference between a v6 and a v8 is that huge? you guys got a lot to learn.

what about if you took my v8 and put it in a semi truck, and your v6 and put it on a go cart... is it still an unfair race?

get real. learn about what real racing is.

i wont be back, later

Many of us are 4 doors retard.

You spent more time yappin' about your sh!tty Charger than you did trying to lean anything about the G...

tell the guy that spawned your crappy @ss to come here and ask the questions and we'd be happy to have him in the G family... in the mean time take your silly BS elsewhere.
