service engine soon ???

well i was driving home tonight and shortly after my last pit stop my service engine soon light came on. my car was driving normal the entire night I have not pumped gas since monday nor was my gas cap loose. after i got home i turned the car off and pop'd the hood and i can hear a ticking noise. I have never checked so i would not know if this is something recent. what could it be? guess its off to the dealership tommrow, where i get the sh*tiest service!

Same thing happened to me.. I'm afraid that the driver's side manifold could be cracked

The ticking is probably just the car cooling off (cats) - not a problem. The service engine light can be a multitude of things; an easy read of a scanner will tell the story. If you don't have a scanner, you'll definitely have to check out the dealer.
