Sounds like it went into limp mode or granny mode as some like to call it. As far as fixing it idk. If i remember correctly you have to reset the ecu. Ill let someone who knows more about the topic chime in though. Good luck!

yep, def limp mode...is your slip, VDC, and CEL lights all on?

try to limp it to autozone and read the CEL code...that should help you diagnose the issue.

If it is in limp mode, there should definitely be a CEL light as well. If not, limp mode is canceled every time you turn off the car. If it goes back to limp mode on the next start, it's because the problem is still there (and the associated CEL will come back if cleared).

I don't see how you could be in limp mode and not have a check engine light. Are you sure you don't have one? This def looks like a job for the dealer if disconnecting the battery overnight doesn't fix it.

thanks guys I'll try the disconnect battery thing today I'll keep you guys posted. If that don't work I'll just bite my tounge and take it in so the dealer can rape me.

The dealer is your only source of Nissan Warranty Money............not bringing it by every 90 days for oil changes loses them the opportunity to find work they can charge Nissan to repair. The more they find to charge Nissan the less you will pay later when serious problems show up after warranty.
