HP claims to be 10-14. Intake and exhaust will not make any difference as these engines don't really respond well to those mods. But to answer your question YES the Motordyne spacer is worth the money and is prob. one of the best bolt on mods for the G.
Good Luck.

I've heard some pretty bad stories about spacers causing numerous engine codes to show up. Why is this? Is it a specific brand? Poor installation?

100% Installation! Take your time and do it properly, if you use a composite like the Skunk2, use high heat RTV (the very slightest amount, no seepage should happen when you torque the Plenum down). If the plenum has the slightest vacuum leak, you will have problems as you heard. Have 70K miles with my Skunk2, no problems at all; very happy with it since day one!!!
I also recommend a good CAI (or Z tube at the least) to enhance the spacers extra air volume allowance.

+1... I haven't really heard of any problems when properly installed

Also the problems with CELs are usually related to the TB

you got some bad information! Any codes would be due to someone not re-connecting a hose or accidentally catching the oil fill gasket between the plenums and spacer. It's a very simple mod to install. Done right you will see not ill effects on the car.

Yes, it is worth the money.
