Idle pulley delete w/ DM2 spacer

I did not use the spacer because it would not fit and I had to shave some of it off to make it fit or loosen the power steering assembly so I can drop it in.
I am not using a spacer right now but I will install it later when I have time to loosen the power steering assembly.

The installation is straight forward.
Some basic tools I have to get it done. You will need a breaker bar to get the bolts loose from the pulley bracket and only use a socket with a ratchet. No open wrench like I have in the pic.
This is pics from this past Sunday when I attempted the install.

Pics from today. Spacer.

With the belt on and tight.

hey buddy, glad to see you got around to doing this.... The spacers are machined to exact tolerances there is no need to shave it down, you may need to loosen the ps bracket to wiggle it in there. Other wise it is a tight fit, cant wait to see it finished

eliminates a useless pulley, reduces some weight.

Do not shave the spacer down. On all of the g's Ive done here it is correct. I have had to use a prybar to pry out the pump and get the spacer to drop in. Its really not that hard good luck and hope to see finished product soon

What if the PS starts leaking after? It's better to loosen all the bolts but that takes a while.

It doesnt take a 4 ft pry bar bro. A big enough flat head screwdriver will work. Take the spacer and compare it to the bracket on the idler pulley you removed. You will see they are the same width. Good luck and thanks for the write up

For anyone else doing this the bolt from the tensioner pulley needs to be loosened so that the tensioner can loosen the belts.
