Idle all messed up, and my G tried to kill me!

My idle is all messed up. The car idles at somewhere around 600rpm or so but suddenly about 2 weeks ago it started to fluctuate . Every 30 seconds it drops down below 400rpm and the car starts to sputter then it kicks back up to 1k rpm works its way back to 600rpm then sits there for about 30 seconds and drops down again. The car does this continually, but it really hasn't affected the drivability.

Then about a week ago i was speeding up to make a light but didn't make it, had the car about about 4k rpm and put it in neutral as i slowed it down. The rpm's stayed up at 4k then continued to climb, I turned it off to stop the car from redlining. I started it back up and the idle was at 2k rpm. I drove it right back home and it was ok for about 5 minutes then the rpms started to climb again and I had to shut it down just as I made it into my parking spot.

I don't know what the problem is. I check for vacume leaks, and didn't find any. I disconnected the maf and the problem persisted. Has anyone had a similar problem? I installed a plenum spacer and mrev2 about 2 months ago and had no problems untill about 2 weeks ago so I don't think they have anything to do with it. I check to make sure everything was still tightend down and it all was.

Sorry for long post, if anyone can help please do! Thank you!!

^^also relearn idle air procedure. Do the rpms fluxuate more when additional eletrical loads are present (defroster, a/c)?

Yes the ac does cause the idle to be higher and less stable!

Also I did all the of the resets (idle pedal and whatever the other one is) none of them changed anything.

So disconnect the battery overnight is my next thing to try?

I've heard you need to use lock tight with the spacers because the bolts like to loosen after a while. Check to see if any came loose.
Clean your MAF
Spray a little carb spray around the plenum at idle. If it raises, you have a vacuum leak.
