Help ~ Weird Idle Problem
Cleaned MAF and TB
Performed accelerator pedal released relearn, throttle close position, idle air volume.
Idle RPM's dropped from 1100 to 800 after performing the idle air volume relearn 3 seperate times. (Previously idle was at 650)
Problem: During braking I can feel the transmission as it downshifts because the REVs bounce around a little.
TIA

Things are never what they seem- you take your car in to replace one part and another part begins to sputter. The relationship between both parts is minimal but then you assume causation b/c of what you changed. Is it possible that this is happening? For example, the fuel pressure regulator could be faulty, even tho it's not related to what you did (or a vacuum hose could be loose)? My questions would be: When does it happen? Does it happen with the engine hot or cold? Is it all the time? Is it only after a cold start-up? How long does it last? Have you changed brands of gasoline lately? Have you had other repairs performed recently? Did any episode precede the rough/surging/high idle condition besides what changes you made? Run over any possums or cats lately?
I look at the car as a series of systems-- mechanical (i.e., timing belt loose enough to cause the idle to back-up), bolt-ons (vacuum leaks at the plenum, which can be found using propane or a vacutec machine) or engine subsytems such as the ignition. Can you spot anything if you look at any codes that pop up?

No, it isn't a leak
I went to the dealership today to get some fresh oil in the tranny, they also verified to problem as a bad throttle body.
Apparently when I cleaned it it got damaged.
Damn.
They said the throttle is SUPER sensitive and this has happened a lot on cars they have seen.
What part would have gone bad and why can't that simply be fixed without buying a new TB?

Replaced the TB, problem has not gone away yet.
wtf.
The weird part is that when I'm braking I can feel it down shift and it feels like i'm tapping on my gas pedal for half a sec because the rpms jump up 500 rpms then drop right back down.
