Motordyne xyz pipe question

I have a question about the Motordyne XYZ pipe:
http://www.motordyneengineering.com/G35_exhaust.php

You can purchase it with either:
1) straight pipe
2) resonator
3) catalytic converter

I'm guessing these are in order of loudness and gains (loudest straight pipes most gains straight pipe) is that correct?

You have the order right. However, the gains between the straight pipe and resonated test pipe will be negligible. I have the XYZ pipe with resonator in right now and I love the sound.

The catalytic converter module is no slouch though. Here's a few pics of the cells,

it's a shame this is under the car and out of sight, this is the catalytic converter module

Here's the XYZ with resontated module

sorry, I don't have the straight pipe.

nismo240r your car sounds great!

Can anyone here comment on the sound with the stock muffler and with the motordyne xyz pipe and motordyne cat? twin001 maybe?

If it sounds good I think thats the route I want to go.

This thread is awesome! I wish we had rep points

Here's my question, how would the XYZ pipe with resonator work on a mild FI Twin Turbo tune on a system like APS TT or JWT TT, stock motor.....mid 300s WHP....

I have Berk metallic HFCs now and plan to keep them.

Lets say I run, Berk HFCS---->Motordyne XYZ pipe resonated----> then one of their 2.5" CB exhaust systems. Would that be an ideal exhaust setup to keep the exhaust sound down without back pressure issues?

What would happen if I substitute their CB for the Greddy Spectrum Elite Axel back with a custom 2.5 or 2.75 mid pipe?

How would this setup sound? I'm wondering if anyone here's done something like this. I'm trying to go for the sleeper build when I cross over to the world of FI.

Thanks in advance
