Here's the difference in size. The on eon right is the 51356 size, just happens to be an Amsoil:

does anyone know if the PSI of the bypass valve
is the same in both filters or not??

not sure if the "36 psi " makes a difference in "burst pressure" ..

is the difference good or bad .. ???

is it ok to go with the longer filter ??

Using the longer maxima VQ35 filter is just FINE!

But if you are so worried about the burst pressure. Higher = better.

It takes some juice to get through the shell of a quality oil filter. The strength of this shell is very important. If the shell is too thin or poorly joined at the base rupture can occur. Rapid loss of oil and pressure will result in engine damage. Measure of the shell strength is referred to as burst pressure.

It does the job just fine. I've never got a UOA, but I drive my car hard all the time and I'm over 30k boosted stock block miles. I still change my oil every 3k miles, regardless of how long it says you can go.

Amsoil is probably the best or one of the top 3 at least of all oils available. Canadian, you should do an UOA just for kicks.

Champion Labs mades Mobil 1 filters. Reviews say it's a quality unit. But at $10, it's expensive. I'd run the Napa Gold or Wix filters and order them from Fleet filters for less than $5 each. Off the shelf, I'd go Purolator Pure 1 which is another highly rated filter.
