Nissan vs Inifnity Dealership for parts, is Nissan cheaper?

I am in need of a few parts such as touchup paint, air filter, incabin filter, fan motor for my g35 coupe.

Since the 350z (Nissan) and the G35 is basically the same car underneath, Can I save money by purchasing all my parts from the Nissan Dealers instead of Infinity?

I was quoted $20 for touchup paint, and $15 for air filter, and $222 for fan motor and $606 for entire fan replacement at Infinity. Would it be cheaper at Nissan and would the parts be basically the exact same as if i were to purchase from Infinity?

Every part that I can get at a Nissan dealer, I do. They typically have less overhead and are geared towards a less expensive market. I would bet the first three things on your list would be stocked at just about any Nissan dealer. It is worth just a call to get a quote.

I think the touchup paint was about $10 when I got it at Nissan. Nearly everything I have gotten at Nissan was about 1/2 the price of Infiniti including labor.

One thing to remember is most Nissan dealers can not look up Infiniti parts. You have to know if the part is identical between platforms.

When I go to Nissan, I check the parts against a 350z and then just say I need parts for my 04 "350Z"

If I can look up the part numbers they can look up the part numbers. Never had a problem.

I tried to get touch up paint through a Nissan dealership, I had the part number and they looked it up and they could not get it and then they asked what car and I told them it was and Infiniti and they told me that’s why they cant get it even though the part number is a Nissan part number, so I am just going to order one on line...
