Re: Unlimited Tuning Y-pipe dyno.
This is the biggest reason to do the TS Reflash...IE, the increased rev limiter. My butt tells me nothing on all my mods honestly...I can't feel a thing different. The only time I could ever feel anything was when I did an ECU Reset with just a CAI on there...other than that any CAI sounds 100 times nicer than stock and the Coupe/Nismo mid pipe sounds meaner at low rpms...but that's nothingt to be felt.

Re: Unlimited Tuning Y-pipe dyno.
lol...I said the same thing b/c for $319 I can use my Hypertech Power Programmer and do 3 times the inputs in customizable increments on myt Denali and in 2 minutes it's all set...and best of all...in another 1 minute it's all back to stock settings if I need to get service.
But, a blown engine (Corrected A/F ratio) is the biggest reason to do it...you also get some harmonization with all your mods...and while you can't feel it in the behind, it's there. The price is still twice as much as it should cost though.

Re: Unlimited Tuning Y-pipe dyno.
Yes last week and after chatting yesterday I went home and my car started to sound like a dodge omni going over speed bumps at 200 mph. Bad noises as something has gone awry for sure...at the mechanic who installed them and then off to the dealer for new brakes and tranny fluid tommorrow. Somebody will figure it out.

Re: Unlimited Tuning Y-pipe dyno.
This drives me crazy! I could do the same thing with the Superchips device on my Expedition and it was awesome. I thought if I could do that on my American Ford Expy the Infiniti, plugged into the tuner world, would certainly have similar device options. Rev limiter, speedo adjustments, shift points and more were possible with that thing. Unbelievably, no such animal. We're stuck with sending in our ECUs in and hope they get it right? No likey.

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>
This dyno is a far cry from their claims on the 350Z board of 15+ something HP, and when factoring in the usual suspects of dyno variance due to a million factors this appears to fall along the same lines as the other Y pipes available.
<hr></blockquote>
When I called abou the Y-pipe the guys were happy to discuss things for a while, including the dyno. They said they used the same procedure as most tuners: take a bunch of runs stock and modified, and pick the WORST stock and the BEST modified. He had no problem explaining this. The average was closer to 10.
I've ordered the pipe and am waiting for it to appear in a week or three.
