Transmission went out, thinking about an RB26
http://www.jeimportperformance.com/images/Godzilla.pdf put this in your URL and see what some else did I didn't think it was possible but I guess I was wrong
BTW, the RB series engines have a ton of design drawbacks that need to be addressed to be reliable enough for big power. The 2JZGTE IS a superior design, strength wise, stock for stock. Pushing over 500 rwhp in stock internal RB26 is not recommended, wheras 2JZ's have been proven with 700-900 rwhp with no internal issues on stock motors. The choice is yours, keep in mind that smog legality WILL be an issue in th future, like it or not...
Didn't read everything but I just want to point something out. OP said he didn't have enough to turbo the VQ in his G. Yet he wants to get a whole new motor, with tt's, and then custom ($$$$$) fit it in his G
I personally didn't have the funds. My dad was replacing the tranny for me so I was thinking why not upgrade?
End result... I went back to stock on everything
. Very depressing. Would have loved to mess around in a totally new power plant. But the G body will last my lifetime so I got a long time to play with it
What were your symptoms when your tranny was dying? Mine seems to rattle when I shut the engine off. Also, sometimes when I push the clutch pedal down I hear it. Very scary!

I can't get into 6th a lot lately AND it slips out occasionally.

It happened for the first time a couple weeks ago after I pushed her really hard accelerating. Sometimes 5th is tough also.
