i put in my grounding wires on and when i started the car the ses light came on any suggestions. i also checked to see that i put the grounds in the correct places and that all the plugs are in. thanx

I am not sure you can do this with newer Nissans/Infinitis but on older ones you could pull the MIL codes from the ECU. This would tell you what system is causing the code. And OBDII Scanner would be easier and quicker, but they are rather pricey($150 for the cheapest that I've seen).

First I've heard of a CEL due to installing a grounding kit.

The 2 are not likely related, but it is possible that you left a hose off, or a harness disconnected somewhere????? Check for something amiss, then do a pedal method of the basic ECU reset found HERE.

If you've done nothing wrong with the Grounding Kit install, and find no disconnected wires or hoses, then the reset should take care of the CEL.----
If the CEL comes back, you'll need to scan the computer for a code to know where the problem lies.
