Exclamation Help...

Ok when I accelerate the car is smooth, but when i accelerate with full speed I hear this loud sound coming from the right front side near the tire, it sounds pretty loud and kind of scary. It sounds like a crossover between a lion’s roar and ripping a newspaper. if anyone knows what this might be caused by or had a similar problem kindly let me know cause i want to take the car to the dealer ( the dealer hear tends to be sneaky )

i already posted this in the Brakes, Suspension, Wheels & Tires forum with no reply

its probably a hole in the exhaust somewhere..when you get some torque going it will get really loud.. if you put it in manual mode or if its stick and in maybe 3rd gear going 20 or so and just floor it, is it really loud?

If you can, jack up the car (cold engine) and place on jack stands and inspect. Start the car (engine cold), rev it, and feel around for exhaust leaks. You'll have a few minutes before the piping gets really hot. If you're not mechanically savvy, find a friend who is. Being able to pinpoint the problem, even if you can't fix it, will give some protection when taking the car in. If you can post pics, we can help. I agree with geew1z, it's probably some sort of an exhaust leak. My guess would be somewhere around the catalytic converter or y-pipe flex section.

Based on the description I would assume a bad wheel hub bearing. +1 on jacking it up and checking it out.

For my bad wheel bearing issue, it would get louder when i was turning to the right getting off an off ramp..and i think that type of thing is the norm for wheel bearings...

Plus a wheel bearing and a exhaust hole should sound way different

A bad wheel bearing should make noise all the time and sometimes get louder when it's under really heavy load like a turn.

Jack up the front wheel, pull the tire off and start inspecting.

Kinda hard to diagnose noises over the internet. Can you make a video of the noise?
