I feel your pain man. Infiniti denied replacement of my motor, which is burning 2.5 quarts/1k miles, because of my exhaust system and aftermarket air filter which is total bs. I saw that you were located in Ellicott city, im near Rockville. I guess MD Infiniti dealerships just suck.

If you sell your g35, make sure you tell the buyer that this car has the OC problem. If you dont disclose that information the next owner could find out about the problem and end up suing you. I have also considered selling my car due to OC but if i disclose the OC problem to the buyer the value will drop like no other and its illegal to hide that information.

that sux so bad guys.. i wish u guys were in SoCal.. I took my car to Riverside Infiniti over here in California for the OC problem and they hooked up my car with a new motor.. List of mods i had:
Stillen Exhaust
Jwt intake/z tube/r2c filter
mrev2
5/16 spacer

they even swapped all the mods when they put the new motor in. they know about the magnusson moss act and how your mod has to directly interfere with your warrantied part..ie. oil consumption.. none of those mods would cause oil consumption in our motors so they are mod friendly. as long as u aren't FI... it may b worth a trip to cali to get a neew motor..??? dont know how that works..

Feel ur pain..

Like I had said before though, the engine seems fine now. I dont understand it, but its not burning oil. Well not enough to show on the dipstick after 1k miles atleast. I will check after 2k, just for good measure. I think im going to have to do some investigating if it is still okay after 2k.

But yes, to respond to your statement. If I do sell it outwrite, I will notify the new owner exactly whats been going on.

Oh, and the dealership said that they would replace the engine under warranty, but if its not burning oil, then there is no reason to.

Hey Ace... just a quick question here:

Are you saying that without the MREV and Spacer you are not consuming any oil but with it you are?

The reason I am asking is because since installing my 5/16 spacer I am noticing a small amount of oil consumption that was not there before.

Just curious.

This could very well be possible. When I checked the oil a few weeks ago before noticing the problem, I had 4500 miles between oil changes, and the MREV2, 5/16" iso spacer, and injen intake on. I know that all engines burn oil, and I know 4500 miles is a good while before an oil change, but I still dont think that you should loose 3 quarts in that amount of time. Enough to barely show up on the bottom of the dipstick.

After I realized that I was low, I set up an appointment at Infiniti, took all three mods off, and added oil until the appointment for the oil consumption test.

What I did notice, was that the MREV2 had oil in the bottom of the crevase. I dont know why I didnt take mind to that.

Now that Im 1k miles into the OC test, I see no change in oil levels. So I really do not have any idea what to say!

This is very interesting indeed. I did notice that my oil consumption started right after my spacer install, but I have been monitoring it very carefully since then. I haven't driven my car in a while because it's at the body shop but I will check my oil again when I pick it up.
