No.
For the nTH time.
Crawford instructions. To illustrate that I, not you, or others or whomever followed those published instructions, netted me no problems. That's it. Done. What you are ATTEMPTING to attribute to why I mentioned it is false. Plain and simple.
MAF sensor. Wow, you don't even need to remove the sensor huh? But you do have to remove the entire maf housing. Gee, what do you think is easier and does a better job at cleaning? Just spraying the entire housing down and hoping or actually removing the element and getting the cleaner exactly where it needs to be. Again, while your method will probably work, I never said it wouldn't. Just pointing out that the entire assembly does NOT have to be removed to get at the element. Which is what YOU were getting at when you said "might as well clean both because you will remove the tube, maf housing. Which is incorrect. It's not needed or even necessary.
Why would removing the safety torx bits be a problem? For the overwhelming majority (including the OP which is the POINT), the maf element is right there, very accessible. The question is not whether to remove it, it's why would anyone actually do it? Just makes more work. Look at the picture, do they look hard to get at? Not to me.
Making your individual situation and trying to apply it as a general advice was incorrect. You forgot about your particular situation, got caught and now are trying to illogic your way out of it. Won't work. Everyone can see what you did.
Again, getting personal Mike. Is that how you conduct discussions in real life too? Get accusational? Looks like it.
Mike, do me a favor, ask any mechanic if performing two fixes at one time is a recommended method of valid diagnostics.

Mike, you have been unable to comprehend what I've been saying for the last 24 hours. Even though it's in the most plain english I could come up with.
Not sure how you could say I'm wrong when you can't comprehend what I'm trying to say but whatever.
So go ahead and get your final immature comments in and be done with the thread like I told you do be yesterday. Thanks.

You both need to stop arguing. Both are irrelevant. Taking apart the whole intake takes 5 min so it doesn't matter.
Either his MAF is jacked or his TB is jacked. Or Both. Cleaning the MAF might help but cleaning a TB is not going to change ANYTHING.
If cleaning the MAF doesn't fix your problem, then you need to replace your TB. I bought one that was remanufactured from www.rockauto.com. $100 for it + a core refund.

REPORT:
MAF and TB cleaned as directed. I followed instructions posted above and videos found at http://www.infinitihelp.com/diy/gcoupe/index.htm
Car still giving the same codes and no changes noticed.
Guys I love you passion about technical and mechanical stuff…wow what a controversy!!
