How much can the vq35de handle???

You have to ask yourself this.......as cheap as it is to strap Nitrous onto a car, if it was safe, wouldn't everyone that wants extra power be using it? I mean why spend thousands of dollars to try to get 30 or 40 NA hp outta the VQ. If we could all strap on a 50 shot for a fraction of the cost?

Sorry I should have included. I have changed my plugs, I also have methonal injection to make it a bit safer to run but as to the rest of the mods I have not done any for the purpose of having my car look 100% stock.

Spec,
I've got to disagree.
I've run a 50,75, and 100 shot on my car with all of the added safety features, etc. and now have a Vortech supercharger. IMO nitrous is much harder on the motor because of the huge torque increase that happens all at one time, whereas boost generally comes on gradually.
Is a boosted car always safer, no, but I think for someone under 400 rwhp/tq it is much more enjoyable. (Plus there is no bottle to get filled, and refilled)

Don't get me wrong, I love boosted cars and plan to have mine at that point in the future. I agree with you that nitrous is a shock to the motor. The main reason for my previous statement is that f/i is always, therefor the added wear and tear is always there whereas with nitrous it is only on for the time that you need or want to use it. Of course you cant spray nitrous at any random point in your rpm range, this is where motor damage occurs.
My next quest is to get 400 rwhp and still have my car appear 100% stock lol

FI is not "always"; I enter boost 3-4 times a drive... other then that the car is in vacuum - just like any other car. So the two are comparable (depending on driving styles). So while I might boost 3-4 each drive, you may "boost" 3-4 times each drive causing the same wear - however, remember the 1st paragraph. Just a lil' FYI on the FI.
