VDC+Slip+brakes grabbing at start. Did anybody get an answer?
I only found two other people who have had this specific problem. Only the VDC and slip light are on, NO ses/cel or brake/abs lights. When I start the car and start to drive, the brakes grab several times and then the lights come on but the car drives like normal.
Like the other people, My rack and pinion was taken off and then put back on as well as my rear camber arms. So knowing I needed an alignment, I did so. But the lights are still on. I can't remember if they come on when I start the car and turn the wheel or if they just simply come on when I start to accel.
This is like the last thing I need to take care of, what could it be? I've already pm'ed the guys who've had this and still haven't gotten an answer.

thx for answering guys. every opinion helps. currently my gut instinct says that the steering angle sensor needs to be reset as well but i have been wrong some in the past. i actually called several dealerships and the first guy said to reset that sensor immediately while the others did not know. but when i keep researching the vdc+slip issue it starts to seem like a few other things cause that combination. however, the way that i see it is from my research is that since the rackpinion was taken off and perhaps some sensors as well...then it seems very plausible that a simple sensor needs resetting cuz it drives perfectly well. when i first got the car back the steering wheel was crooked by about10-15degs and after the alignment, they didnt even have to physically adjust the steering wheel, it miraculousywas recentered and level...but the lights remained. as ive noticed and from what i read, i can start the car and if i turn the wheel left/right a good amnt then the brakes will grab hard several times quickly and those 2 lights will come on again but then drive perfectly normal. if istart the car and drive straight the brakes won't grab at all and lets me drive off smoothly. makes sense to me that its the sensor.
the dealership is gonna c

the dealership is gonna cost like $90 but my dads coworker, a mechanic, has a hand scan tool that hes used before to read codes and reset ses lights...can that be used to reset this sensor?

Only the dealer with the consult11 can reset the steering angle sensor.I have the latest greatest snap on verus scanning tool at work and it wont do it and it cost $12,000 dollars.
Thanks super. It's so nice that there are several members out there that voluntarily and actively help out one another. I will try to get it reset at the dealer within a week. I am first going to see my dad and his mechanic coworker to see if there are other codes to be read or what they can do.

UPDATE: Yes it was the steering angle sensor or crank angle sensor. I forgot, it was one of those. My sensor was reading like 120+degs off. It could not be reset but needed reprogramming. The service guys and workers were nice to give me a cheap enough price while also checking out various things on the car like transmission oil, alignments, etc... There were several codes but again, my CEL/SES light never came on - it was only read through consult. My car is driving nice and fine now. Yippee.
