Service Engine Soon and Oil Light.

So i was in the middle of a 2hr drive from corpus christi, tx to san antonio, tx and my engine hiccuped for 1 sec (total loss of power) came back on and a few more miles down the road (70mph) did it again. Probably in a 5 minute period. I pulled off to the side of the road to investigate. As i slowed down the engine died. The service engine soon light illuminated then the oil light as well. I turned her off popped the hood and check the dip stick and looked for leaks. Everything was good. Attempted to turn her over but would not start.

I then check for vacuum leaks then just gave up and removed power from the battery to reset the ecu. Turned her back on and she started up as normal. No strange noises and check the head for oil. everything was good. So i drove it the rest of the way and she did fine.

I just got home and sea foamed and cleaned the maf.

I then hear this loud humming noise from the engine bay. I lean over to investigate and still could not pin point the noise. I turned off the car and could hear a very loud CLANK.

I had my wife put power on and nothing. Started the motor and bam there it is again. I ask her to turn it off and the CLANK came from the throttle body.

I attempted to repeat the process to find that my damn throttle body is humming electrically.

Anyone else experienced this?

Try doing the throttle position relearning routine.

Did you pull any codes? Without them it's kind of pointless to guess.

Thottle body has quieted down. But now have a small but noticeable hiccup at idle. Will be cleaning the tb tomorrow and resetting the ecu.

I was able to get the codes scanned. Cam sensor intermittent failure. Changed them both out last night and cleaned out the throttlebody and upper/lower intake plenum. All were very dirty. I could also see residual sea foam residue and dirt build up due to the sea foam treatment. Changing out the sensors have for the time being solved the issues. Need to to the throttle body relearn and btw she's running like a beast currently.

Also, it seems to have solved my engine rattle at cold start! Hope this helps u fellas out!
