meaner louder exhaust?
meaner louder exhaust?
I got a little bit of cash for graduation and i want to know if there is a way to make my G sound a little meaner. I dont want the whole ricer sound, i love the stock exhaust note....i just want it a little louder and deeper. I have an 05 AT coupe. Any ideas would be great. Not necessarily looking for HP gains until later on when i go F/I.

HFC will make it louder and deeper
Plenum Spacer will help as well.
Both will improve sound and performance. WIN WIN

Although I've given my opinion on exhausts many times on threads which asks for opinions/advice, I believe I've only posted this video a few times otherthan my video thread.
if you JUST want a louder sound get High Flow CATs or Test Pipes with your stock exhaust.
If you are looking for best bang for you buck HP gains get the spacer (zero sound change).
If you want a whistling sound get an aftermarket intake.

Jayk just wants more youtube views on his vid, huh Jayk! Haha j/k. It's a nice video that portrays that exhaust pretty well. Even I watch it every now and then, and we have very similar setups. But i never get to hear how my car sounds from the outside lol.
Get Fast Intentions HFC's. Or if you're already spending that much on HFC's, get the Motordyne ART pipes if you dont mind the fumes.

First off, I have the MotorDyne Shockwave Dual Version 1. There were some issues with drone on AT but being MT i personally didn't get any. Anyways Tony from Motordyne addressed the issue and made a Version 2 with side branched resonators. It was only after installing the ART Pipes that I experienced some drone ~3k RPM. but it's not bad at all. Honestly i kinda like it. Watch the video again.
