OEM Cats...OK to use or too damaged?

I'll post a picture when I get home, but I'm wondering if there is a way to tell whether my OEM cats are any good without having to take off my test pipes and put them back on.

I used to be dumped and the cats are flattened a bit. I had problems with my exhaust before and I swapped the OEM cats and it seemed to make a slight difference, but the issue still remained. Turned out it was my y pipe the whole time and I had an exhaust leak.

I'm wanting to go back with the OEM cats and would like to know if it's possible to tell if they may be useless without having to take off the test pipes (as mentioned).

If they worked fine before you should still be ok and as long as you dont have any leaks...i dont see a problem.

That's the thing, I really can't remember if there was a problem with them or if it reduced when I took them out thinking it was the problem originally. This was well over a year ago.

It had bee like sound I guess you would say when I revved it.

Too low so I scraped it to the point where the flex joints got all messed up. I ended up taking the flex joints out and having a pipe welded there instead.

They're not too bad. If you didn't live in SoCal and had rust then you'd have more of a problem

Most people that have a "bee in the exhaust" sound get that from the heat shields.

Hrmm..maybe i'll give it a stab so i can get money for my test pipes. I guess since there's no need to break the bolts it should be fine and the test pipes haven't been on for too long. Doubt I have any rust collected either.
