I've had this for a while and am just getting around to installing it. I thought about drilling the CF G-tube to route the line back into it, rather than running the little filter. Any comments or suggestions? Should I just run it with the little filter and not give it any more thought?

Wouldn't this cause the same sort of issues as routing a blow-off-vavle to atmoshere instead of it going back into the intake tract?

Drill a hole in the Tube? I thought it came with the nipple? Or is it the nipple that has to be drilled in order to route the line to it?

The first version did not come with that plug.

The new (current) version is as pictured above

Yes, mine is the original version. What would you guys do?

1. Drill it?

or

2. Run little filter that came with it?

or

3. Order the newer version?

GT Ron, you got yourself a first generation CF tube. You can send it back to us and we can drill the hole for you or if you prefer to do it yourself, we can send you the PCV nipple.

PM us.

I thought maybe i would get everything in this bottom picture (minus the filter breather).

Yeah. The pics are misleading, but nothing to worry about. You're supposed to use the stock rubber couplings. All you need is the tube.

I got a PM from Unlimted Tuning saying that i should have recieved the two rubber couplings as well. He didn't say anything about the small stack to the far right tho. Hopefully i can get Alan@grubbs (Forum Member) to look at this thread.

lol

And I never did do anything with my 1st. gen CF-wrapped Z-tube. The fiberglass just looked too rough on the inside for me to feel comfortable with. I ended up installing an OEM Z-tube since everything else underhood looks stock.
