Can I change my clutch fluid this way???

Hey everyone!

So i want to change my clutch fluid but i dont really want to get under the car and drain it.

I saw on a youtube video where the guy would just suck out the clutch fluid, add new clutch fluid and pump the clutch which would cycle the fluidand then repeat until the clutch fluid shows no more contamination.

The only flaw would be that it would take alot more time than usual right?

Better to bleed through

It is better to have someone in the car to pump the clutch pedal as you open and close the bleeder valve. That way you will flush both the master and slave cylinder and all the lines as well. The bleeder valve is easy to reach and it goes pretty quick.

It is on the side of the slave cylinder which is mounted to the side of the tranny right behind the clutch arm. Sorry, you have to get under the car! I just did my sons with him, it's not that bad.

intersting. Do you think i need to change my gear fluids too?

so basically i need to attach a tube to the bleeder valve, so as someone pumps the clutch, that is where the old fluid will come out of correct? As as it drains, add the new fluid?
