Colder plugs are usually only made for more modified cars, if you have cams, or FI. there are other reason why you should get them, but that is the basic use; to prevent detonation. Id recommend Iridium NGK's as they always have good reviews and always make good spark. If you want longer life go with platinum, you wont have to change them for about 100,000 miles.

The OEM plugs are actually very good too, you really wont notice much of a difference in these engines.

Ehhh, I wouldn't want to leave mine in for 100k!

Iridiums are great!

Nissan claims the plugs are good for like 100K miles, but from my experience most cars need them changed a lot sooner. Especially if you've done any kind of breather mods (spacer, exhaust, etc) it has a tendency to run lean and you will need new plugs a lot sooner

Iridium is less conductive than Platinum, but Iridiums will last longer. I stick with Platinums and change 50-60K. 100K on Platiums...nope, Iridiums probably would make that though.

I think you got that backwards...

Platinum will last longer but Iridium is more conductive.

Copper is the most conductive but has the shortest life as well - about 30K miles.

If you live in a hotter climate you can also swap to 1-step colder plugs if you want. Not a bad idea if you have done a lot of mods and are in Phoenix or Vegas or other similarly hot climates.

Dude... use stock plugs if your VQ is stock. It was engineered to work with them. Only thing I would do differently if I was you, is change them after 50-60K instead of 100K. Getting power gains from just spark plugs on a stock motor is wishful thinking. Don't waste your money man.

With all the breather mods there's a very good chance you'll run lean and throw an error code! Best way to fix that is a Osiris tune which will give you major WHP gains. You still won't need plugs other than what your G came with!

Best advice ^ run what your G came with! Unless you have severely modified engine what Nissan installed will work fine!

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Do a search on here for threads on Pulsar plugs. The suck and several members have had issue with them exploding and causing engine failure.
