UTEC MAP vs MAF

Bought a used turbo kit. Buddy was running at 8psi without the MAP Sensor, strictly on the MAF and wasn't maxing it ouy yet. People are telling me to go ahead and get the MAP, but I'm hearing the transition from MAF to MAP is super bad.. should I just stick with the MAF since it worked for him, or what... thanks.

what do you mean by switching from maf to map is super bad? I learned the hard way regarding the map vs maf. the voltage on the maf maxes out at 5 lbs or so, and i tuned on that and blew my motor. yes there are some that have tuned successfully but i wouldnt risk it, the proper safe way to tune will be with the map sensor because it tunes off of boost rather than voltage. (correct me if im wrong)
