Drive Belt Replacement

Hello. I watched the video on Infinitihelp on replacing a drive belt (http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to-re...5-263051/view/) .

Do I really need the tension gauge? I searched and most people say all I need is a 14mm socket and wrench to loosen the pulley and the 2 tension bolts then take off and replace / retighten.. Just that straight forward?

Thanks

I replaced my belts earlier in the year with a friend and we didn't use a tension gauge. Just tighten the belts until they have little to no slack and you should be good to go. If they squeak they're a little too loose so tighten a touch more. I've put 15,000 miles on mine with no issues or noises.

I just replaced mine a couple weeks ago. I pushed down with moderate pressure on the belt. 3.5mm-4.5mm on the alt belt and 8mm-9mm on the ac belt.
