Re: Cleaning Filter

K&N filters say every 50-100k miles but I just used the rule..if it looks dirty, it must need cleaning.

I have the Injen CAI and I find that the side exposed to the outside got horribly dirty after a little rain on the highway. I was worried about it because it really was filthy especially after getting behind some trucks that spewed spray everywhere. I tried to clean it, but it was really difficult, and I was not able to remove the filter. I ran water down in it to try dislodge dirt from the unaffected side, then used the cleaning kit from k an n.
Pain in the @$$.
let me know what you think

I would clean the Injen every 10-12k miles.
