No it's at the bell housing and engine where the trans bolts up. Just remove 10mm and swap
I replaced the sensor, very easy job.
I noticed that the sensor I pulled from the car didn't have o-ring but the sensor I bought have the o-ring. I installed the new sensor with the o-ring but now I'm wondering if I should remove the o-ring.
What you recommend? Thx

im not sure what your referencing or anything and I have looked at the back of the motors damn near 30 times now with wire tucks and pulling out mine and doing swaps and I know there are only 2 sensors on the back of each head both being the CAM shaft sensor. I have replaced mine both knowing this.
Take a picture of it for us please.....Thats the only way we can assist.
back of drivers side head/valve cover etc.

On the back of the rev up it runs 4 sensors, unlike the standard VQ35de engines, the 6mt version from 06 and up have the rev up edition engine which has more sensors, and other mess on it.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

also noticed this....there are 4 cam sensors on the revup

I also see 4 holes here on the motor. You should have 4 cam sensors and the crank shaft sensor should be down below like referenced above.

Hey sorry for bringing this back up but I'm having crank sensor issues and I'm wondering if the o-ring should be taken off. Original one didn't have one but the OEM one ordered had an o-ring on it. Now I can't accelerate heavily without "hitting a rev limiter" type of thing/issue. Thanks

for 07 sedan models too? I don’t see it at all
You have a different engine, hr engine so the mounting point of the crank shaft sensor may be in a slightly different location. Sadly I have little knowledge of hr engines so your best bet is to search vq35hr crank shaft sensor location
I can't remember exactly but I think it's on the right side (passenger side USDM cars) and a little higher up on the block, right below the heads I think.
That's where is was on my in-laws old Infiniti FX anyways.
