Problem:
Installed my injen intake yesterday, it works fine sounds nice. I drove my car around all day, no problems what so ever. I had my car turned on (idling) in my girlfriend’s drive way as I ran into to get my cell phone. I came back out and sat in my car and the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light is on. WTF????

Question:

im guessing it might have something to do with the MAF sensor. check if everything is on correctly and try resetting the ecu.

its the MAF sensor........did you disconnect the negative battery terminal *before* disconnecting the MAF sensor during the install? You might be lucky and all it is a loose MAF connection. Otherwise, you might have to take it into the service dept. to reset the "check engine" light.

No! You can clear the "check engine" light with a ECU reset, either with the
pedal method or the battery disconnect. If you take it to the dealer, they
will charge you to clear it. I know about this, as I left my MAF sensor unplugged once.
As soon as I started the car, the check engine light
lit up. I knew immediatly what I had done. So I did the pedal ECU reset and
the light turned off. This is common and easy to fix.

I don't think a battey disconnect will reset the MIL. I believe you have to perform the 'Pedal Dance' method.

welll,

i think disconnecting the battery for 24 hrs will work..

If not just drive it aorund for a week. It should go off on its own...

I think...

Way back, when I put my Pop-Charger on, I forgot to re-connect the MAF wire prior to starting the car.

The 24 hour re-set didn't work for me. I was told that it would go off after something like 7 or 8 cold start cycles however. It didn't in the 4 days I drove. Around that time, I bought an OBD II Code reader, so I did the reset with that.
