is it safe to have 1/2" spacer with intake exhaust but without the TS ECU tuning...
Do u guys know if TS or AAM had done any tunings with the spacer ?

well, my A/F was all messed up before i put in the spacer.... then for some strange reason, my A/F cleared up after the install and i didnt have detonation problems anymore... go figure.

Was there any correlation with ECU resets? Or...maybe you had a previous plenum gasket leak (if you had tried another plenum)?
But I guess that it does indicate that the spacer functions pretty well overall--power and no probable A/F concerns.

Nope, we didnt do a ECU reset and I never had another plenum on.

i think someone else said that this happened with their car as well so not just an isolated incident.

Yes, I remember witnessing that NP's a/f ration was sorted out after the spacer install.
Btw for all those who have the spacers, has your mileage increased? I'm getting really good mpg's and performance ever since i installed my spacer.

This is the first post of my impression after I had 3/8" spacer installed. No mods except ztube, G-kit, and K&N filter (see my signature).
I noticed better fuel efficiency as well like Dizz. 91 octane 23.5 mpg from nav, not from manual calculation. But from the past mpg consumption via nav, it's between mostly 19 to 22.5 mpg and rarely 23+.
My driving habits is more or less WOT for about 3 - 5 seconds everytime entering freeway (just to have some fun) and maintain smooth acceleration/deceleration at approx 75 to 90 MPH. Normal local driving habit is unless I'm in a hurry to change lanes otherwise rarely WOT.
With this official tank, I had 2 trips of freeway driving with approx 120 miles one way, 2 trips of freeway driving with approx 40 miles one way, and 2 days of local driving with a total of approx 15 miles. The fuel empty lamp lit up for a few minutes right before I refueled with Shell 91 Octane.
I' merely stating the facts from my experience. This is the first tank of gas officially with the spacer, fuel efficiency is still under evaluation. My butt dyno says definitely gains with a feeling of less restriction of air flow during all RPM range espcially during WOT. The spacer itself is a quality piece and Tony's customer service is exceptional, which for some people would be a make or break deal to do business with nowadays!
Congrats again Tony! Job well done!

thanks a lot for your impressions of the 3/8" spacer. I have been asking and even started a thread on the 3/8 looking for feedback but have gotten no response from others.. your driving style is much like mine so it tells me a lot. thanks again

yep I am picking mine up this weekend from Tony, and am really looking forward to it.

I am also going for the 3/8" and can't wait to check it out.
I have some data on mileage/MPG and acceleration numbers where I have
logged using a gtimer. So it isn't hard data, but I have consistant numbers, and can't wait to see the difference.

Of course since mine is an AT, I am also looking forward to my GroundingGear Kit which I should have next week (shipped yesterday)

He emailed the instructions to me a few days ago. Get me your email address and I'll forward it to you. It'll have a 4 page pdf with pics and instructions.
