Aftermarket vs. OEM Fan Clutch 03.0 G35 Sedan
Looking for a replacement fan clutch and came across this thread.
The thread stopped after the O.P was told to go with an aftermarket clutch and never responded saying it was good or not.
For those of you with the 03.0 G35 Sedans (and never did the efan conversion), did you replace your fan clutch with OEM unit or did you go aftermarket?
If you went aftermarket, how is it working vs. your old stock fan clutch?
I definitely don't want that loud UPS truck diesel fan sound.

Fan clutches is a component I wouldn't hesitate to use aftermarket ones for, it's a proven design that was used for 60+ years with massive aftermarket support and all the bugs were worked out of it LONG ago.
The reason for people complaining about them being so loud is typically you're going from a worn out useless fan clutch that is almost literally doing NOTHING (not moving air) to one that is FUNCTIONING PROPERLY (is moving air). The air movement generates noise and thus people think it's really loud when it was suppose to be making that much noise the whole time.
