LKQ doesn’t have “make an offer” but for a 98k miles engine, $2300 plus tax and shipping was the best I could find after an exhaustive search. Do you know of more affordable options with similar mileage and warranty?

There's over a hundred JDM importers across the nation. I would expect an HR with that mileage to sell for $1500 with a $200 delivery charge using a lift gate.

Either way though you're getting a fair total price.

Thanks all. The mechanic finally finished the engine swap. Got a whirring noise coming from the shifter boot area while the car is in gear and moving. Trying to diagnose. Shifts fine, clutch feels fine. Good acceleration. Just makes a strange warbling/whirring sound coming from trans area.
