Weird slight overheating issues in 04 coupe
Weird slight overheating issues in 04 coupe
So i just bought a 04 coupe 6 speed and it handled the 2 hour drive home like a champ but yesterday i noticed the temps started creeping up during normal driving. Previous owner said he "did the coolant system" whatever that means. The temps never hit H and i wouldnt let it happen anyways.
During short trips like to work and back is fine but seems like during idle at a light after a little bit of driving the temps creep up then back down, if im hittin the gas goin 80mph theyll creep, going up hill, and after turning the AC on. I tried burping the coolant today which did let out some bubbles but the screw on the bleeder valve pretty much instantly stripped. I noticed both radiator fans kick on pretty short into driving and they stay on constantly once theyre on. The upper radiator hose gets hot while the bottom does not.
I dont have any idea where to start or what to look for so any help would be greatly appreciated

Most people take the radiator cap off first thing in the morning crank it up run the heat on full blast see if any air comes out that way Then Go drive around for a while park turn the heat on full blast and open that bleeder valve that Should get all the air out I And it could be the thermostat not operating right
