What is the best Z-tube? I see Z-tubes, G35 straight tubes, Unlimited Tuning's Carbon Fiber Z-tube?

What should I buy and from where? I'm ready.

Thanks!

no no no get the REAL z-tube. z tube is called z tube because it comes straight off a 350z. which is also why it fits perfectly. im not sure about that rumor, but it doesnt make sense and mine fit perfectly. the best way in my opinion is to get the z tube off someone else, if you know anyone with a 350z who has a modded intake, he will have a spare z tube laying around. i got mine from someone like that.

with an intake modification only you have beaten coupe manuals with an auto????

That has to sum up to driver error on the manual coupe side. The automatic transmission probably eats 15-20hp more than the manual AND thats not considering the fact that with equal hp a manual is still faster than an auto.

Anyone else experience these significatn gains from just an intake mod?

no he didnt launch incorrectly. we raced from a stop. at the beginning of second gear, he was going faster than me and he was ahead of me. at the end of second gear, i was right next to him. this clearly shows that unless he wasnt flooring it (which is not the case) my car produced more power.

after the race he drove up next to me. after i told him i only had a popcharger and ztube he was amazed that a simple intake mod let me beat him AND he was impressed with the sound of my car.

at first i thought maybe i hopefully somehow had a factory freak. but my frequent races with my best friends rsx-s in which i can BARELY beat him by 1/2 car lengths dispels that notion.

(dont bother trying to lecture me about street racing youre wasting your time)

and i think youre overestimating the loss an automatic experiences through the torque converter. i mean if my car can beat my friend's Z auto with only an intake...

If the ztube and popcharger makes that much of a difference infiniti needs to go back to the drawing board in designing the G35 intake......

Apparently C&D noticed a difference between the auto and manual coupe....14.2vs14.8 in the 1/4 mile...............
