All i got on my 04 Sedan is the K&N Filter and the custom Midpipe .

Why whould my engine service went on?i diconnect the bettery and wait for 5 mins and connect it back. the light was gone.

so, should i go back to Dealer for them to check out?

would my only 2 mod avoid my warrenty?
would they charge me for checking?

Your CEL should not trigger by the installation of a filter and midpipe. UNLESS, you improperly installed it or you damaged the MAF. By resetting the ECU, it will take a short while for the CEL to reappear. It could be one block or fifty miles. By the way, you did not oil the inside of the filter did you?

 

you can't go to the dealer because you know the CEL is due to the new mod, unless it was a major coincidence....which i doubt.

 

go to a performance shop and have them read which code you are throwing with a obd II. This will tell you what is wrong with the car. If it is something major then you strip the mods of the car and go to the dealer. I doubt is anything major. The cel lights usually have to do with emissions.
