Did you watch the video? The 350z was in front of all the cars. Why wouldn't he floor it. He had no one blocking him like the M3. If anyone didn't floor it it would have been the M3 who was blocked by the 350z.

Thank you, Shane . . . Well said.

I have extensive mods though and no FI...just about every mod that can be done, that actually makes sense, next to FI as a matter of fact.

Can I get some information on the TQ Converter. How does it work? Is it a worth while mod for my current setup?

I asked this question like 15 posts ago.. Yet I got a mysterious silence. I'm thinking that these were all rolling starts.. which is cool, but I'd like to know the details. And what OTHER mods, if any, do you have TX??

On a serious note . . . G35_TX, just to clear things up, once again . . . Did you run against the 2 M3's from a dead stop or a rolling start? If it was from a rolling starting start . . . What were the specifics, whatever the scenarios were?

There is no question in my mind that MREV has better tapped into the G's NA potential. I don't plan to hunt down M3's anytime in the near future, I'll just live vicariously through your experiences.

Edit: paulywalnuts446, did you ever imagine that your simple question(s) would have led to this?

Yes, I would have to believe that they were rolling starts, as well . . . Which is find by me. Based on my own personal experiences, the improved driveability alone is worth the price of admission for the MREV mod. For myself, I have a Z Tube and a K&N filter plus the MREV at this time. Can't wait to get my HKS Hi-Power thrown into to the mix, early next month

An interesting side note . . . I normally get about 15 to 16 mpg while driving 50/50 under what I call, "Spirited Driving," which is shifting gears in the 4k to 5k ( 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th) rpm range. Now, with MREV installed . . . I am getting 18 to 19 mpg driving the same way. In the past, I had to shift gears below 3k rpm to achieve the better mpg. Not only has my G's driveabilty improved, I am actually getting better gas mileage . . . Go figure . . . I get better performance and save money doing it.

Hehehehe...I know how you feel, I asked about his dyno numbers, the question I have now is this, the MREV might get you 20hp and upwards 30 more tq does that translate into 0.5~0.7 secs quicker to 1/4 miles? we all know more bolt-on you add the less effective they gets collectively(cancelling out eachother out)...if it does translate to 0.7 quicker or more? there arent much of reason we should add other mods.

I haven't put my G on a Dyno, as yet, like the rest. However, after I install my Hks Hi-Power, I will get a dyno. I know that doesn't help anyone with regard to MREV, but it's just for me . . . Since this is where I will probably stop with the mods.

Andy this is killing me.. I'm still on my oil consumption tests.. I'm due for my second "official" log in in about 400 more miles. How many more times will I have to come in? I would really like to get this mod. But that's not a possibility at this point. Btw, what kind of oil are you using now? Infiniti switched me from Mobil 1 Synthetic 10w30 (my choice), to Mobil Synthetic 5w30.

I believe Infiniti would like the dealer to perform a total of 3 engine oil consumption test. In my case, 4 test were performed. At the final 1000 mile interval, the reading indicated 1/4 pint low . . . And with that reading I got the GREEN LIGHT! I have been checking my oil on a regular basis since then. Everything appears to be just fine, especially since I have been pushing the G hard after the MREV install. Believe me . . . It was killing me, as well. All of the previous readings had indicated that everything was going to be fine, but you never know. Whew! I had the MREV sitting here in my garage and could not install it.

I use the regular ole 5w30 oil. What were your results after the first oil consumption readings and how many miles do you have on your G, thus far? I trust that your G will come out this with flying colors. Please keep us posted. Good luck!

they've got problems with oil disappearing... and they have to wait for the results before they can introduce variables.

From the guy who posted it:

http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=152503

well guys if you haven’t seen my old thread about me beating a couple of E46 Ms even though it had a video to back it up there was still allot of controversy. well im back with another vid. Amidst all the controversy a member of this forum with an E46 M asked me to race him when he came back in the states. well he recently contacted me and we raced tonight. we ran a totall of 5 times. 2 from a dig which are the first races youl see and 3 from a roll. he preferred doing a roll because his car was relatively new. i obliged but we agreed to do 2 from a dig and 2 from a roll. both cars had 1 passenger. the cool thing is i had both of my cameras running. one from inside my car and one from inside his car. so we get to see both perspectives. at the moment im only going to post vids from inside my car. il post vids from inside his car later on tomorrow. the only race i think that needs to be explained on my part is the first roll on from 20 mph. i missed second gear but got it in fast enough to stay ahead. all the other races were legitimate. im pretty sure the M3 was in its fastest shifting mode (it was an SMG2). im pretty sure the owner will chime in.
