The M3 isn't all that fast guys!
Suprise took someone this long to post it over here, either M3 isnt that fast or that Z is that fast, before someone runs out and looking for some fun? just remember if Z with few bolt-on's can out run M3 like that(if indeed it was normality)? it coulde easily for cars like RSX-S with few bolt-on's to be able to match with stock G/Z as well.

Now after seeing this video, how does the heavier (heavier than the 350z that is) G35 Coupe hold up in a race? Is it still a driver's race?

Since I have an automatic, I'd probably have to mod the hell out of my car to to keep up.

Not too sure how much further I have to go since I already have the 1/2" spacer (IsoThermal), Z-tube, Pop Charger, Crawford cats and Borla Exhaust.

Man, I wish the Infiniti dealership had 6MT's in at the time. I wanted a manual and got stuck with an auto.

Well Hammad(Z) pulled hard on that M3 at least two car length, so with similar mods or HP/TQ gain as his Z, any G/Z should be able to hang with M3, even if you are bad driver. I asked about his 1/4 time? he say he havent did that with current mods but he did get 14.2 with stock Z tho. but by the same token, it can be say with other car with decent gain with bolt-ons to be able to hang with G/Z too.

I am pretty sure they have some 6MT instock now

My next pit stop will be at 9k miles. I'm at about 8600 now. I didn't get a quote on the last reading. All I got was "it's a couple quarts low". Basically, after about 2500 miles, I've been getting valve train rattle.. dipstick dry and all. I've been using Mobil 1 10w30 since about 3k plus miles. (the car was eating oil before I switched). Have you always been on 5w30?

Everything appears to be just fine, especially since I have been pushing the G hard after the MREV install. Believe me . . . It was killing me, as well. All of the previous readings had indicated that everything was going to be fine, but you never know. Whew! I had the MREV sitting here in my garage and could not install it.

I use the regular ole 5w30 oil. What were your results after the first oil consumption readings and how many miles do you have on your G, thus far? I trust that your G will come out this with flying colors. Please keep us posted. Good luck!

My G's was consuming alot of oil during the break-in period, so the dealer performed an engine oil consumption test. If I had the MREV installed, I was afraid that they might blame the extra oil consumption on MREV and void my warranty . . . If any additional work might be required.

Yes, regular 5w30 from day one. Good luck!

if you follow G35TXs original post to the 350z boards, there are pics of the 2 cars on the thread.. Looks like the 350z had racing slicks on.. From a dig it would probably make a big difference, from a roll, maybe, maybe not that big.. Still impressive though..

Seen that vid few times before he post it here , Hammad did have slicks on but still tho, he pulls hard, I have to rewind it few times just to be sure what I was seeing, he pull at least two car length from either a stop or 20 mph roll, so I was thinking lets give him one car length for having great launch and one car length for having slicks on, he still would've at least hang with M3 without those, still impresive tho....wonder if I could trade M3 in for Z06.
