You'll need to add nearly 100rwhp to get near the M3 quarter mile time and that cannot be done by staying NA.
That's not true at all....

It can be done in normally aspirated form with the right parts....

Quote: Too bad bolt-on's don't do anything for the G35. I've seen Dyno's where $2,000 worth of Bolt-on's give like 10-15 hp to the wheel...if that.
Again, not true. My mods gave me 28rwhp and nearly 40pft of torque over stock and that is with no ecu work Of course, many of those mods were done to existing aftermarket parts to make them better, but still "bolt-on" parts. The 3.917 gearing will drop your 1/4 mile times by .4 to .5 second stand alone on an '05 rev-up motor. With some traction, I bet I could rip off some really low 13s (I've run a best of 13.55@105.5 mph).

I have an '05 6MT though, so I know that sort of limits things for people...

Yeah, but ummm, that's like a 1900 pound car...lol

Power to weight ratio is silly on that vehicle... Oh hey, I hear a TRD superchrger will bolt right up to the Elise and give it another 70-75hp (equivalent to a 100-125hp increase on our cars)...ha.

The M3 has a redline at 8k, more hp, more torque and it is designed to get power to the ground much more efficiently than the G35. Just look at the I shaped frame on that beast!

The M3 doesn't have more HP and More TQ. Look at the dyno charts. Most dyno 260s to the wheels for hp and 230s-240s tq. That is where our G35s dyno close too. With the motordyne kit, that puts us over what they run and we are lighter. 8k redline isn't going to help much at all.

Neffster doesn't know what he is talking about on this subject I hate to say it. 05+ G35 with Motordyne kit will make you equal, with other add ons like exhaust and intake you will pull the m3.

Most run 270s hp per other M3 guys. This one was higher than normal.

Where are you getting your info from??? We are not lighter than a M3, especially a 05 g35s. LoL. By the way there is no way a 05 g35s or 05 g35c or any stock g35 from any year w/ the motordyne kit can pull even with a m3. LoL. Lets stop dreaming guys, we are much more closer to the bmw 330ci than the m3. And the 330ci is only 225 hp!! what does that tell us?? It tells us that not only is there a hp difference between the m3 and us, but bmw also has a much more aggressive gear ratio and is really putting their hp to good use. A m3 is like a full second faster than us from 0-60 and at the 1/4. A motordyne kit + exhaust + intake doesn't equal a full second better at the 0-60 and 1/4 mile. If you only have 2 gz to spend on your car, i suggest you spray it.

M3 doesnt that fast as you think, just get FI or TURBO on your car, that'll be more easy to take them down. I put vortech on my car and I already killed 2-3 M3 on the highway, but not on local, I'm pretty sure they have more torque than G.

You sir do not own the motordyne kit nor do you have any specifications on that kit. I own it, and I have dynoed it and seen dynos of what it does. I have raced a friend who has a 04 M3!!!! Twice once before the mod and once after. He use to beat me and it wasn't by much, now with the mod he can't beat me, I actually pull from him but very slowly. Highway there is more of a noticeable difference on how much the car got changed vs the m3.

No dreaming, I posted a high dyno chart of a M3. Per those guys the mostly dyno lower than that. 4.9 is the best time I saw isn't a full second faster. 1/4 times are high 13s which also isn't a full second faster. Where are you getting YOUR INFO from? lol

Go FI and all this will Stop. A new M3 fully loaded (depending on the dealer) $42,000 to 44,000. New G no Nav and 18's (depending on the dealer) $32,000 to $35,000. Take the difference, by a turbo and roast them. Either that og get a used G for $4,500 less if you don't have that much extra lying around. Either that or explore you last option....don't race one until you can for sure beat it.

I dont know how you beat a m3 with just a motordyne kit, but maybe your just a better driver than your friend. If equal drivers no way a motordyne kit will put u over a m3. Im sorry. YOu have to do more research, just ask anybody if a stock 05 g35 with a motordyne kit can beat a m3. I bet most ppl will think your crazy.
