Perhaps, you might be right. Do you know what the new mod consist of? I don't . . . And as such, I will have to reserve my judgement until I do.

Woooooo . . . I hope you are correct to a certain extent.

g35 tex is dreaming...... listen to neffster... he knows what he's talking about (not just about this but every post of his ive ever read)..... the m3 is a beast. I ran one stock and it pulled like 3 car lengths on me in 2nd gear alone before i shut it down... not to mention that after the first turn i couldnt even see him anymore since they handle so much better than our cars. Everyone on this thread reminds me of people like this guy i work with who told me that he beat a g35 coupe in his camero v6 AT PLEASE.... you did not beat an m3 with just the motordyne kit.... im calling you out and saying youre a liar and a half

Wow, then me and the other guy didn't do exactly the same thing and we both posted the same experience and same results.

You have no clue. Why you spewing bs since you don't even own the car or the kit?

Obviously that person needs to keep his comments to himself especially since he has no clue what the motordyne kit has or does. When you get 20 hp and 20 tq extra in the mid range from 3k~ to 6200~ or so, it makes the car much faster. I posted my backup data on a BMW dyno, and hes still argueing. lol

Okay, he knows what he is talking about? 100 hp extra needed to beat a M3? When it only dynos 260-270 normally and 240s tq?

When I have a stock dyno that does 253 hp and 231 tq. Neffster has been wrong on many things, and I won't go into detail on that. M3 isn't as much of a BEAST as you think. If he pulled 3 cars on you, then you obviously don't know how to drive. I have ran 3 M3s since owning my G35. 1 is my friends the other 2 were just around town. And all were the same results.

Next time remind me when you were in the car with me becuase you said I didn't beat him. Obviously you know something I don't. Same as Klumzee. He also had the same experience.

How can a G35 that gains 20 hp and 20 tq in the mid range that dynos stock 253 hp and 231 tq not beat a BMW that dynos normally 270 hp and 240 tq?

Lets do some math.

273 hp, 251 tq with motordyne.

---

Straight to the point. Unless you have facts that can back yourself up the G35 in no way possible can beat a M3. Shut up! Because I posted the facts of a dyno m3, and will gladly pull some 1/4 times from the forums on what most run which is mid 13s with good driver some even in the low 14s bad driver. It isn't that much faster. But I can see how some might THINK we can't beat them or hang with them. I would say I was more dead even with the M3 than beat them.

Quote from article test:

All this mechanical gadgetry comes together to produce a nearly flawless powerplant that rockets the M3 from 0 to 60 in just 5 seconds flat. The quarter-mile streaks by in 13.5 seconds at a scorching 105 mph, ranking the M3 right up there with some of the fastest production cars in the world.

PS, I am also done argueing here with people who have no bases for there so called facts.

And who the hell says hp and tq mean everything. Just look at the 330Ci, it has much lower hp than g35's, and still it is a tad slower if NOT just as quick as g35's. Face it, BMW's are better engineered cars and they don't get as much drivetrain power loss as our g35's do. The actual percentage of the power being put down from the motor to the wheels is higher, end of story.

Hey all - killing M3's is possible without FI - Cams, heads and gears - intake and exhaust - do the trick. I have a VERY good friend who has a slighly modded M3 - and he CAN drive - and I BEAT HIM every time - by a good 7-10 car lengths - then again - I pull 12's in the 1/4. so 3/4 to a full sec is worth 7-10 cars - and mine is an AUTO.

Don't say you can't beat them without FI - YOU CAN IF YOU DO IT RIGHT.

Back that statement up with proof. Then we will believe you.

Find me a dealership that will let a new M3, fully loaded, leave the lot for 42k, and I'll be rich. If I could find a few of those, I'd flip each for at least 8k. Just browsing the local bmw's dealer here in bham, online, showed 5 m3's on the lot. One was the coupe, at 54k. The other 4 were all verts, at 63k+.

You're dreaming. 42 to 44, fully loaded? You're not going to get a 330, fully loaded, at 42. When was the last time you shopped for a bimmer? Have you every actually tried to work a deal on one, rather than just refer to magazine figures?

LOL, 42-44 for a fully loaded M3. Would you happen to be talking about a 2000 M3?

it's not just the hp and torque. it's the application... the efficiency of the tranny, the weight (sprung, and unsprung), and how the weight affects traction, as well as the lsd, and the engine itself (concerning the torque curves).
you will not do this for under $2k (without nitrous). probably not under $5k. the cheapest way is f/i.
like mikey said, the g is cheaper for a reason.

1. I know what 'the mod' is. Bet you $100 CASH that I'm right.

2. I have a Vortech S/C and I run 13.5 @ 109mph CONSISTANTLY. Stock M3's run 13.5 times too.

3. All of these people posting 13.x with a NA G's are quoting times off of either an improperly calibrated device they hook up in their car or they are doing some "calibration" to their track times, are VERY GOOD - professional drivers (or they're just full of BS to begin with).

4. The G with FI is NOT good at getting power to the ground (from a dead stand still) PERIOD.

5. A centrifugal S/C has major lag until ~3500rpms. By this point you're past the 60' mark and the race is already over. Try dropping the clutch at 2500 rpms and you will bog. Try it at 3000 rpms and you spin like crazy. (at least that's my experience after many many runs with the FI setup).

I made an educated comment about something that I am more familiar with than you are. Have you ever launched a S/C'd G35 at the staging lights? Why do you continue to question my comments and put me down at the same time?

Wanna take that $100 bet? I'll post my guess in public and then when it comes out one of us will be $100 richer!!!

BTW, out of respect for Tony I'd rather not blurt out what I think this is and why, but I've sent you a PM...

There are a lot of m3's running low 13s stock. Best g I've seen is a 14.0. A g that gained 40hp and 40tq to the wheels from boltons would still lose to an M3, UNLESS THE M3 HAS A BAD DRIVER.
