Question ECU Modification??

Hi all, I'm having trouble finding specific information re: adjustments that need to be made to the ECU when modifying intake and exhaust.

My problem might be my reference point in that I have a 3rd gen Rx-7 that requires an ECU upgrade such as the Apexi PFC when more than two modifications (roughly speaking) are made in terms of intake, exhaust, turbo, IC etc.

Is this not necessary with the G? Any info or links would be greatly appreciated.

No expert here but...the ECU on the G set's itself to minor mods after a few hundred miles or by a manual ECU reset. Mods like CAI and exhaust shouldn't require any ECU tuning but there are options, Techno Square ECU reflash, MRC Motorsports has been pimping the new turbo XS that sounds VERY tempting and I think it's Altered Atmospheres that also does ECU tuning. Please correct me if I'm wrong here guys. Hope this helps.
