god the announcers are idiots. was it just me, or were their mics up WAY too loud? i kept hearing heavy breathing and static.

1st half - great soccer, italy outplayed germany though.
2nd half - all germany, italy did seem tired.
1st ot - italy picked it up, playing more even.
2nd ot - they kept playing and took it from there.

both sides got lucky when they almost got scored on. lots of close calls kept it very exciting. it would have been interesting to see the penalty kicks. i think it would've come down to the depth of the kickers for each team.

 

I am starting to proove everyone wrong in this world cup. Italy I guess had a chance after all. Both teams played great soccer, but in the end, the best only could win a game like this. Italy prooved to be the best team in this world cup, not to mention an historic defense.
Now please, everyone please make predictions about the final, I love to hear all of your opinions.

I will make my prediction after tomorrow...if France plays like they did against Brazil, they have a damn good shot at winning it all

but I would say Italy is the favorite of the 3 left

 

france beats portugal. still not sure who'll win italy/france though. both great teams. italy might have some more depth though.

I think France will take it over italy, Zidane will be able to give those Italian actors some yellows for diving as he has very good balance, as long as the game does not go to PKs france should have it although their defense will really ahve o be on the lookout for Del Piero, Camoranesi, and Toni

2-0 for Italy. Thats my prediction. I dont think France has what it takes to score on this defence, they are amazing.

 

They definately showed wholes agaist Germany but Germany wasnt playing well enough to exploit them.
France has also dominated the last 3 rounds with defense and a potent counter attack....its gonna be a great game but with France controlling the ball and Italy sitting back and waiting, they might give up an early one virtually ending the game.

 

French are a bunch of Pussiezzz and the Italians are a bunch Greesers with half a monkey brain. Both Teams are homo gay.

I was kinda watching it from the poker table and caught all of OT & PKs...

from what I saw, France deserved that game and outplayed Italy...Zidane's absolutely retarded move 10min before PKs cost him a WorldCup or at least a better shot at one. Was a very good game though...


on a side note, im pretty pissed I didnt make money on it...I was on the boat Sat night and the Over/Under line was at an astonishing 2 1/2, but i didnt notice it until gaming was over. I went back Sunday morning and the line changed to 2 even so I didnt take the bet....I feel like I lost a $100 and I didnt even make a bet

 

WOW. I cant beleive that after 24 years Italy is the world champion again.

I knew from day one this would happen. I knew Italy would win the world cup. I bet on every game and won every bet. They played great soccer and they deserved it. Italy prooved so much of the world wrong, nobody except for Italians thought they would be able to win just because it was Italy. The name threw everyone off as if Italy was a newcomer, and not a 3 time world champion, well now four. Brazil was who everyone thought would win because of its name but nobody saw the cheap soccer they were playing. Well, in the end the best team won.

For the next 4 years we will be the world champions and that is it. OH, and for all of those on this website that kept saying Italy would loose, I prooved you wrong one last time. I was right the whole way.
