So Im thinking of getting SAT radio and I just called OI to get a price. They charge $699 for parts a labor.

$288.10 tuner
$92.48 antenna
~$40-50 for splitter
which leaves $250 for install

Question #1:
I can buy any tuner and antenna, right?

Question #2:
Is the splitter Infiniti specific?

Question #3:
GILLEY!!! wanna help me install it??? PLEASE!!!!

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just get the sirius or xm radio and put it in the car with and use the transmitter or fm modulator?

i figure if I can get the parts online and have someone help me install it, i can get everything for 300ish.

Don't you know better than to call the dealer for a price?

You have to buy the Nissan tuner. You can buy any Sirius antenna and any splitter for a Sirius. The best thing it to go to Grubbs. http://www.grubbsperformance.com/Mer...=G35CoupeAudio

Receiver - 199.95
Antenna - 39.95
splitter - may be included with antenna - call Grubbs - shouldn't be more than about $20.

What year is your car? If it is 2004 then you are prewired, otherwise, you'll need the prewire kit. Coupe VIN: 210827 & higher are prewired.

You can also shop at Everything G35. http://infinitipa.zoovy.com/product/B8046CR011

I'll help you install it.

my sirius tuner for my 05 (pre-wired) was only 215 including antenna. my wife bought it for my x-mas present and prepaid another 200 bucks for labor but i put it in myself and will get reimbursed for it. plus i registered it online and still got 3 months free service even though they're not advertising it anymore.

If you need the prewire kit, get it from Everything G35 for only $85. That is a pain in the a$$ to install though because you'll have to remove your back seat and radio (with all the panels). It's not hard, but it's a lot to do.

Do you want the antenna inside or outside? Inside is easier.

That windshield antenna may not work with the XM. I put my antenna inside the car under the rear window.

You'll still need the prewire harness.

wes, you need to pull out the trunk mat and look by the amp for the white sat connector before you buy the harness...most of the 03s have the prewire harness allready.

As for install...if you are prewired it is simple, you can just DIY check it out here:
http://g-owners.com/article_read.asp?id=19

prewired instructions start at the bottom under "Satellite Tuner Installation". The top is how to put the harness in.

$250 for install is a rip off.
